RYAN ‘Rocket’ Campbell has returned to his hometown club Dergview.
The sharpshooter signed for the Championship One outfit on Tuesday evening after a number of seasons playing the Danske Bank Premiership with Ballinamallard United.
Campbell is the second striker Derg boss Richard Clarke has signed in the close season following the capture of Kyle Curran-Friel from Limavady United.
Clarke is hoping both will add goals to the mix and is particularly delighted that Campbell has returned to the black and white stripes.
“Ryan is a proven goalscorer in the Premier League and has done it in the Championship before,” he said.
“Everybody at the club is delighted to see him back. He’ll really add to the firepower which we lacked last season.”
On Curran-Friel Clarke added, “Kyle trained with us on Tuesday night and looked really sharp. He’s quick and strong. It’s no secret it’s an area we wanted to improve and it’s great to get these two boys on board.”
