Armagh City…3
Dergview….....1
Armagh City progressed to the third round of the Northern Ireland League Cup following this extra-time defeat of Dergview at Holm Park. Burns was dismissed on the 93rd minute which some might say was an unusual decision by the referee Arnold Hunter.
City started brightly, having an early Andrew Hoey cleared off the line before Ciaran Murray opened the scoring with an 11th minute half volley.
That was how it stayed until five minutes after the break when Ryan Campbell levelled for Dergview.
Darragh Noonan restored City's lead on 110 minutes with a header from a corner before Philip Donnelly completed the scoring with a close range finish after Murray had cut the ball back.
